Optional analytics

With your consent, I use PostHog to understand which pages, case studies and demos are useful and how often visitors choose a CV or contact link. Declining does not limit access to the site. The analytics SDK is loaded only after acceptance.

Events include the event name and time, a known page path without query strings or fragments, a device category derived from viewport width, the referring domain, and identifiers used to group events within a tab. Case names, demo names, link categories and source sections are recorded for the relevant events. Typed text, email addresses and the contents of messages are not included in these analytics events.

These events are pseudonymous, not guaranteed anonymous: a random identifier can connect activity within a browser tab. I do not use analytics cookies, advertising profiles, fingerprinting, session recordings, automatic interaction capture or automatic error/performance capture.

Provider, location and retention

The analytics provider is PostHog. This project uses its United States region and retains events for one year. “Discard client IP data” is enabled. PostHog still receives the connection's IP address when a request arrives; discarding it does not mean no network processing occurs.

Analytics is transferred to the United States when you accept. Provider processing and international-transfer information is available in PostHog's privacy policy and data processing terms. Consent is the basis for this site's optional analytics; it does not replace any applicable requirements for international transfers.

Your choice and browser storage

Use Privacy preferences in the footer to accept or decline analytics again. Withdrawal stops future capture, cancels pending requests where possible and removes this site's analytics identifiers from the tab. It does not automatically erase events already delivered or undo processing before withdrawal. Requests already received cannot be recalled.

The choice is stored in localStorage as pf_consent and stays until it is changed or browser data is cleared. Analytics uses pf_analytics_tab and, when needed, pf_src in sessionStorage. Browsers can restore this storage when restoring a browsing session. If storage is blocked, the site uses memory instead. Withdrawal is shared with other open tabs where browser communication is available.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals keep analytics off. The separate puzzle progress key, ggofri:pieces, stays on your device until browser data is cleared and is not linked to analytics.

Hosting and contact

Vercel hosts this site. Delivering pages necessarily exposes connection data, such as an IP address and request information, to the hosting service. This is separate from optional PostHog analytics; rejecting analytics does not prevent the network requests needed to serve the page. See Vercel's privacy policy for its processing information.

Contact links open your email application or an external service. A click is not an email sent. If you email me, I receive the information you choose to send through Proton Mail and use it to respond to your request; it is not added to analytics. External sites apply their own privacy practices.

Your rights

Depending on the law applicable to your situation, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time. Send requests to jiramirez@proton.me; please do not send sensitive information unnecessarily. Because analytics identifiers are not tied to names or email addresses, I may be unable to locate a particular event from your name alone.

You can also contact the relevant data protection authority, including Argentina's AAIP or, where applicable, your European data protection authority.
